Debbie

Debbie was brought up training dogs with the use of the "check/choke chain", so when she attended her first Cornish training club, back in 1992, the big difference she noticed - you don't need to train this way. Training could be achieved by kind, alternative methods. Which is the foundation of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, way of training, with whom she is now a member.

During her time with her dogs, she has participated in Working Trials, Agility and Flyball.

Life has settled down a little since then, and Debbie is happy just to share her home with her "boyz" with 4 legs, who get spoilt rotten with loads of TLC.

Since the formation of "Paws 4 Fun" in May 2002, she can nowadays be found, organising dates and courses for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Schemes on behalf of "Paws 4 Fun".

Josie

Having been a firm dog lover all her life Josie came into formal dog training when faced with a particular cocker spaniel with attitude - what we like to call "a challenge"! Finding the whole question of canine behaviour and related training so fascinating she embarked on the Intermediate and Advanced "Think Dog" training courses and then to and was accepted as a Member of the APDT.

Josie's canine companions at the present time are a black Labrador and a long haired Corgi with whom she enjoys a variety of activities.

Mandy

Mandy is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and she is one of those people, who ALWAYS has a house full!, living in harmony with her and her 5 dogs, she has cats, rabbits and hamsters, so you can guarantee her pets are well and truly socialised. In her spare time (between meal times!) she can also be found offering a temporary home, to young pups, who are looking for a new home from the National Animal Welfare Trust, based in Hayle.

On a Sunday evening, when Mandy has a little bit of spare time, she shares her training skills at classes at Playing Place.

Melissa

Melissa met the other trainers of "Paws 4 Fun" when she joined a Kennel Club Good Citizen Class run by them at another club. As they say the rest is history and she is now fully committed to "Paws 4 Fun" as a fellow trainer.

When not at "Paws 4 Fun", Melissa is self-employed running ABCforPETS. This business keeps Melissa busy running a small pet shop in Par, a one-to-one training service through home visits and also clicker training at St. Blazey Gate.

Melissa shares her working and home life with 2 dogs, Questa an English Pointer and Teasel a Border Terrier. Both dogs are being clicker trained through the Kennel Club Good Citizens Scheme and Questa attends agility classes with Melissa entering local competitions.
